Why We Pray

The Prayer Council is a network of prayer ministry leaders in America. Be part of praying and calling the Church in America to prayer.

Prayer is an invitation into fellowship with God through Jesus Christ, expressed in adoration, thanksgiving and intercession, through which we draw near to God and learn more of his will for our lives and that of others. He invites us into His purpose and power through the power and guidance of the Holy Spirit.

“One thing I ask of the Lord”

This is what I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to seek him in his temple. Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the man who takes refuge in him. The Lord is everlasting God, the creator of all the ends of the earth.
